Animal welfare

In Las Terceras, our reason for being is directly linked to the care of our La Mancha sheep. The quality of our cheeses depends on their well-being and health, therefore, our shepherds watch over them and their comfort 365 days a year. Every morning, they are guided to the pastures around the farm, where they graze freely and enjoy the tranquility that reigns in Campo de Montiel.

Our herd has five acclimatized facilities prepared solely for their shelter and rest, there they are provided with peace and the right environment to foster their bonds. Our main responsibility is to provide the safest possible environment, a healthy diet and, ultimately, a high quality of life, to the more than 2,000 sheep that accompany us daily on this adventure.
