Tasting of cured Manchego cheeses P.D.O.
At Las Terceras we started the year with a blind tasting of different Manchego cheeses with Protected Designation of Origin Manchego Cheese, the purpose of the tasting is to anonymously assess the quality of our cheese with respect to the rest of the participating Manchego cheeses.
The tasting was carried out with six different cured Manchego cheeses, made with raw sheep's milk and natural rind, comparing their external appearance, aroma, texture, flavour and aftertaste in the mouth.
Several members of the farm participated in the tasting as our cheese masters, as well as experts in the dairy sector such as Dr. Mario Román Esteban, to guide us in the understanding and analysis of the different cheeses.
